Mini-Hiatus!

So, we’re at the very end of this “episode” as Chey and I like to call it, and we abruptly realize (this morning) there’s only one proper way to end it. Wynter and Echo REALLY need to talk. The thing is, there are characters we share, and characters we keep to ourselves (obviously these two are ones we keep to ourselves.) That means we need to rp out the ending. That will take a bit of time–time that we don’t have if we keep to the schedule.

Sure, we could toss up some quick post and call it done. You’d get your update, but it wouldn’t be a quality ending. We didn’t get to be published authors (that have an actual following) by just slapping something up that fits time limits. If we’re going to do something, we’re going to do it to the best of our abilities^^ I’d like to think it’ll be worth the wait. We are definitely aiming to have it by next week.

Thank you all for your patience and for sticking with us for all this time! This story has definitely been a lot of fun to write<3

  1. No problem, that makes complete sense given the form of the narrative and that it’s a collaborative work. Looking forward to the denouement (is that the right term?) when you’re finished.

As far as plot progression terms go, that is correct. I think ‘touched up transcript’ will be a bit more accurate regarding what we’ll actually be reading, even if it is technically also the denouement.

From comments made, I’m wondering if this is ending soon or if it’s ending the foundation of a larger story…

Considering the size of the series that R.J. Ross is currently writing, and the fact that originally she never intended for Cape High to become so big, I’d say this is just the end of the beginning, but a very long ways from the beginning of the end.
